What is The Storyteller Society?

A monthly postal experience that delivers an original short story, collectible prints, a puzzle / artefact, a journal sticker and QR code to a live audio recording, directly to your door. Each envelope is curated to feel intimate, atmospheric and timeless.

When should I subscribe?

When subscriptions are open, subscribe before the 24th of the month to receive this month's story. Subscriptions made after the 24th of the month will begin with next month's story.

What will I receive each month?

Every envelope contains:

• A 1,300+ word original short story or a "who-done-it" to solve.
• 2 A6 prints tied to that month’s tale - enhancing the nature of the tale and professionally printed.
• A puzzle / artefact printed on quality card stock.
• A 5cm x 7.5cm journal sticker representing the story.
• Carefully crafted packaging with a 19th-century adapted aesthetic.
• A QR code that takes you to a live recording of the story in The Storyteller's voice, containing additional unwritten details and extra details.
• A note card from The Storyteller with links to the Storyteller Society socials.

How does billing work?

Your subscription is billed monthly on the 28th day of the month. 

When do you ship?

Envelopes are sent early each month. Orders placed after the 24th of the current month will begin the following month. See the Shipping Policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We mail worldwide and shipping is Free. Shipping times vary depending on your location, but all envelopes are formatted for smooth international processing.

How long does delivery take?

• Australia: 3–10 business days;

• International: 2–6 weeks. Postal times may vary due to customs and local carriers.

Are the stories scary?

Our tales are atmospheric and suspenseful, more eerie than graphic. Suitable for most readers who enjoy mystery, unease and a supernatural edge. Parental guidance is recommended for young readers.

Will there be continuity between months?

Each story stands alone, but observant readers may notice subtle threads that link the storyteller’s world over time. 

How do I cancel?

You can cancel anytime through your account dashboard. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
