Inside, you’ll find an original, richly imagined tale.
As the story unfolds, you’ll find artefacts in your envelope, including images, letters, maps, sketches, keepsakes, or forgotten documents from the world you’re reading, letting you hold a piece of the story in your hands.
Every detail, from the decorative paper to the tone of the writing, has been crafted to feel personal, mysterious and timeless.
These tales are for those who enjoy standalone stories that linger long after they have ended. Each holds its own mystery, yet a quiet thread runs through them all.
I tell them because once, I feared I was nearing my end, then I made a bargain for more time, on the condition that I continued to tell the stories that found me.
So I began to travel, not with any destination in mind, but wherever the stories chose to lead. The Wandering Tales is a collection of those stories, told as they return to memory, not as they happened.
Every month, you'll receive a new tale gathered from my travels. Some will leave you wondering, some may keep you awake, others may change the way you look at ordinary places forever. They reward attention, invite curiosity and might leave you feeling a little unsettled by what you find hiding in the most ordinary places.
After all, the most interesting stories are rarely the ones everyone knows, they are the ones quietly waiting to be discovered...

Each month, a new fragment of a mysterious image is revealed. Collect all 12 pieces, complete the image, and something unexpected happens: a bonus 13th envelope is unlocked.
Inside awaits a secret part of the story, one that can only be discovered by those who complete the puzzle.

How much reading am I getting?
Each 12-part story includes:
- 2,800–3,800 words per monthly chapter
- Approximately 5–7 trimmed A4 pages of reading
- 33,600–45,600 words across the complete story
- 12 monthly deliveries over one year
What are story “artefacts”?
Story artefacts are crafted physical keepsakes that bring the fictional world into your hands. They might include letters, invitations, maps, photographs, newspaper clippings, secret documents or even a sticker, each connected to the characters and events unfolding in your story.
Rather than simply reading about these objects, you get to hold them, examine them and discover how they fit into the tale.
Do I start at the first chapter when I join?
Absolutely! Every story begins at Chapter 1, regardless of when you subscribe, so you'll never miss a moment.
Our stories are told in 12 monthly instalments, with a new chapter arriving through your letterbox each month. Every page is numbered, making it easy to keep your chapters in order as your story unfolds.
When will my first envelope be posted?
Order by the 24th: At the end of that month.
Order from the 25th onward: At the end of the following month.
For international delivery, please allow up to 30 days from posting.
What happens after month 12?
Once you've received all 12 chapters, your story is complete and your subscription automatically ends. There's nothing you need to cancel and no further payments.
Of course, we'd love for your storytelling adventure to continue! As you approach your final chapter, we'll send you an exclusive discount as a little encouragement to discover a new story and another world waiting to be explored.
How does the bonus 13th envelope work?
Inside your first envelope, you'll discover a special keepsake sheet divided into 12 squares, with just one piece of a mysterious picture revealed.
Each monthly envelope contains another piece to add to your collection. As the months pass, the picture gradually comes together, revealing a special place, person or moment from within your story.
When your 12th and final chapter is dispatched, it automatically triggers a complimentary 13th envelope, which will arrive the following month.
One last surprise, just when you thought your story had ended!
Is this story suitable for me?
Our stories are written primarily for an adult audience. Some stories explore mature themes, so we encourage parents to consider their suitability for younger readers.
Romance is generally gentle, with emotional tension, intrigue and developing relationships taking precedence over explicit content. While every story contains some mild violence, the emphasis is on compelling characters, unfolding mysteries and the anticipation of what happens next, rather than graphic action.
Can I give it as a gift?
Absolutely! A Storyteller Society subscription makes a wonderfully thoughtful gift, with a new chapter and special keepsakes arriving through your recipient's letterbox each month.

Every Storyteller Society envelope is lovingly prepared and posted with care, but occasionally the mail takes an unexpected detour.
If your envelope is delayed or goes missing, simply let us know. We'll help put things right so you can continue enjoying your story without missing a chapter.
